The Above Coat of Arms is the one issued to the Shumate Family. However, seeing that the Shumates are decendents of John de la Chaumette, who was from France,
the same would apply to the Shoemake and Shuemake Families.
If the name was Shoemaker, then it would be of German orgin and the
Coat of Arms would be different.
